Wedding guests want to take part but don’t want awkwardness. What annoys them most are games where the host pulls people on stage, makes them change into costumes or give a toast in front of everyone.
What doesn’t work
- Costume games: guests are shy and say no
- Tasks for five people by the stage while the rest wait at the tables
- Toasts in turn: long pauses and stock phrases
What guests like: taking part from their seats
Guests scan a QR code and raise their phones without going anywhere. The host or DJ launches the show from their desk.
- Light for the first dance: the room glows softly, the couple in the centre
- Voting for the next track right from the phone
- A surprise from friends: on cue the whole room lights up for the bride
- A shared light salvo in the finale instead of fireworks
How to fit it into the timing
The first dance, darkness after sunset at an outdoor wedding or the last song of the night. The host needs to announce the moment at least a minute and a half ahead. The venue needs a screen or printout with the QR code, speakers and dimmed light during the show.
Price from 10,000 ₽ per event for up to 100 guests. A price comparison of wedding formats is in a wedding light show, and fireworks alternatives in what to use instead of fireworks. Book a show on the wedding and corporate light show page.
