Before the Krylia Sovetov vs Orenburg cup match we ran our first pre-match flashlight show at a stadium. A QR code went up on the Samara Arena scoreboard, and the club published instructions in advance:
- Scan the QR code on the stadium scoreboard
- Tap “Start” on the page and allow access
- When the teams walk out, raise the phone with the flashlight on
Technically everything worked: ultrasound controlled the flashlights and carried well across the stands. We ran several flashing modes and tested the post-show promo as well.
About 550 of the 4,500 fans joined. Fine for a first run: live, the effect looked better than on camera.
The main lesson: people need a reason to scan the QR code. At the next match against Lokomotiv we added a prize draw, and 1,493 of 9,000 fans joined.
Before that there was only a test run at a Pari NN match in May 2025, without instructions from the club.
How to prepare such a show, step by step: how to organize a pre-match show. The format for clubs is on the stadium pre-match show page.
