The MyIzTekh community writes about the people behind tech projects. In April they profiled GROMKA.SHOW founder Roman Orlovskiy. Here are the highlights.
Roman is a front-end and full-stack developer who used to work at the creative studio Sirena.
In 2019 he built and fully automated vk.ru/foot_nn, a community for finding players for amateur football matches in Nizhny Novgorod. People still post announcements, find teams and get together for games through his bot. Football remains his main hobby.
His second passion is theatre. Roman helps the independent TChK Theatre in Nizhny Novgorod and has been on stage in the play “Mayakovsky in Yellow”. It was in this theatre that the immersive flashlight show took place, after which we bet on flashlights.
Another passion is wordplay: Roman used to run a channel of puns.
Now Roman is building GROMKA.SHOW, a service that syncs thousands of phone flashlights at concerts, matches and other events. It brings together his three kinds of experience: building communities, understanding theatre and writing code. How it works is in our ultrasound article.
Why after summer 2026 we look more at concerts, Roman explains in a video: concerts or football. Where it all started: the first show at a Pari NN match.
The project’s path from first runs to the accelerator win: GROMKA.SHOW won SportTech Skolkovo. Where the show works: concerts, stadiums, celebrations.
