After lunch at a conference the hall gets tired: people look at their phones and barely react to speakers. Polls and word clouds help, but they only give text on a screen.
What organizers already have
Services like Moy Golos, Whenspeak and MTS Link: a QR code, questions to the speaker, polls, word clouds. The hall answers but sees the result only as percentages on a screen.
Crowd interaction at a concert
At a concert the artist leads the interaction: asks the crowd to sing the chorus, clap, split into two halves and out-sing each other. With an adult audience it works when the request is simple and single. A screen helps: chorus lyrics, a score for the halves “battle”, a crowd cam.
Interaction at weddings and graduations
- Welcome zone. Wishes on cards, a Polaroid, a fingerprint tree
- Introductions. The host asks questions and guests stand or raise hands: who has known the groom for 10+ years, who flew in from another city
- At the table. A quiz about the couple or class, tasks in envelopes, phone voting
- A shared moment. All guests do one thing at once: sing, shine a light, pose for a photo
More in wedding interaction and the graduation script.
What light adds
Everyone raises their phone, and the hall itself becomes the picture. A question from the stage can be answered with light: yes or no, choosing an option, a wave across the rows. The host comments not on percentages but on how the hall glows.
Where to put it in the programme
- The opening: the hall answers the host’s greeting with light
- An after-lunch energizer: 2–3 minutes of questions from the stage answered with light
- The award finale: the whole hall forms one light picture to music
The organizer provides a QR code on screen, our track in the hall sound and a minute in the script. We prepare the page, the effects and the participation report. Light doesn’t compete with a polling service: polls give text, the show gives a picture made by the hall itself.
Commands go as ultrasound from the speakers, so the show works where the mobile network is weak: we tested it in a planetarium with the internet jammed.
Formats for forums and award ceremonies are in a forum and award show. How a conference partner can appear to participants after the show is on the event advertising page. Book a show on the corporate events page.
