On Saturday, August 1, we were partners of PARI Fest. GROMKA.SHOW videos ran on the festival’s partner screens all day, alongside Yandex Music and Beeline.

When it got dark, we ran a flashlight show during the band Kasseta’s set.
What went wrong
The announcement was too quick: the host briefly introduced the show and the set started right away. Most viewers didn’t manage to scan the QR code, and about 30 people joined.
Now we put it in our terms: for everyone to join, the audience needs about a minute and a half, and the show is best announced by the artist. Two weeks later at the Sirotkin concert we did exactly that, here is the result.
What worked
Technically everything worked. Even with very loud music the phones received commands via ultrasound. How it works is in how the light show works.
We also launched a new feature: viewers record video right in the browser, and the phone flashlight keeps flashing to the show even while filming.

Thanks to the festival team, and especially to Galka K. for the work and to Vitya for help with the launch and photos.
