Before the cup match Krylya Sovetov vs Orenburg, fans at Samara Arena became part of a pre-match light show. A QR code appeared on the scoreboard, viewers opened the page in the browser and raised their phones with flashlights on.
- Scan the QR code on the stadium scoreboard
- Tap “Start” on the page that opens
- Raise the phone with the flashlight when the teams come out
It was the first launch at a stadium. Technically everything worked as planned: ultrasound controlled the flashlights and travelled across the stands. Around 550 people joined out of 4500 in the arena.
For a first time the effect is solid: live it looked better than on camera. To involve more people, the next launches will add prize draws and get viewers used to taking part in flashlight shows.
