How to organize a pre-match show: step by step, with cases and prices

A pre-match show is the moment before the teams come out onto the pitch, when the stands become part of the spectacle. For the club it is a way to increase fan engagement, create atmosphere and stand out from other teams.

Pre-match show options

Classic is pyrotechnics and smoke. Beautiful, but expensive, requires permits, weather-dependent and not always allowed at stadiums.

Drone shows: spectacular in the sky, but cost hundreds of thousands, weeks of preparation, cancelled due to wind.

Fan stand performance with flashlights: fans participate themselves. Low cost, quick launch, works indoors and outdoors.

What the club needs for a flashlight show

  • QR code on the scoreboard or screen 5–10 minutes before teams enter
  • Our control track in the stadium sound system
  • One minute in the match script for launch
  • 1–2 weeks preparation: we create the script, page and analytics

Engagement numbers from real cases

At Krylya Sovetov vs Lokomotiv (9,000 spectators): 16.6% scanned the QR, 75.3% reached flashlight mode, 4% clicked sponsor promo. Conversion 40–80 times higher than banners.

At Krylya Sovetov vs CSKA (27,000 spectators): stands created a light performance, each new launch increases participation.

Prices and calculation

From 30,000 ₽ for an audience of up to 1,000 spectators, fixed price per match. For arenas and stadiums the price is via the calculator on the site.

More on prices in the pricing article. Engagement numbers in a separate post. Stadium format in the Sport section.

Checklist by weeks

  • Brief: venue, date, expected number of spectators, goals (engagement, promo)
  • Script and track: we prepare the control track and patterns, coordinate with the club
  • Test at the venue: sound and QR check 1–2 days before the match
  • Match: launch per script, report immediately after

Light on the arena

At Samara Arena the floodlights do not go off instantly. We focus on phone screens and choose the moment when field lighting is already dimmed. The effect from the stands is visible even with residual light.

Roles of the club and the team

Club: places the QR on the scoreboard, provides sound to the stadium speakers, allocates one minute in the match script. We: prepare the page and script, patterns, analytics and engagement report. Everything else is on our side.
