A flashlight show at the 2026 World Cup. Gromka.show can do the same, and better

At the 2026 World Cup match Jordan vs Algeria, American company CUE ran a flashlight show via a browser. An ultrasound track synced thousands of phones, viewers scanned a QR code and granted flashlight access.

The usual doubts in the comments: phones hacked, those are wristbands not flashlights. These are flashlights, no hacking, most viewers take part willingly.

Another shot from the stands

Gromka.show can do the same: we control flashlights at scale via ultrasound. How the sync works – in our breakdown of how the light show works. Full comparison of PixMob, CUE and our technology is in the article on hall synchronization.

We have our own technology that is technically different from CUE; patents are being filed.

The main thing is we can do the same and more: draw with flashlights, send waves across the rows, create effects more complex than simple flickering.

This year Gromka.show became a winner of the SportTech Accelerator Skolkovo 2026.

Show at Nikolay Grinko concert

From our cases: a show at Nikolay Grinko concert – flashlights flickered in time with the music, the hall became part of the performance.

At the Russian Cup semifinal Krylya Sovetov vs CSKA there were 27,000 people. We ran a flashlight show. Unfortunately, at Samara Arena the floodlights cannot be switched off instantly, so the effect was not as strong as in darkness, but the technology worked and the show went ahead. After we held a prize draw for the audience.
